Another musical revelation, this time in the form of Porcupine Tree.
Not much I can say about this band, except that they are awesomeness taken to a new level. Think Pink Floyd meets Coldplay by way of Black Sabbath, and you have some sort of idea. Hell, throw in some Rush and Yes prog influences too!
Smart, and deliciously dark textured music!

Aargh!

As it says on the tin - Aargh! (And no...I'm not talking about the castle)
Have to do a massive History essay under exam conditions tomorrow...not too worried about that but it's the English homework essay that I need to hand in that I haven't even started on that I'm worried about. That, and the fact that I'm going to bomb all my exams (hopefully with the exception of computing - the only thing I'm good at!
In other news, I've had another musical revelation, this time in the form of symphonic power metal gods Kamelot. First heard them a little over a week ago, and I now have Epica, The Black Halo and Ghost Opera. And not a day has since passed that I haven't listened to at least half a dozen songs by them. Kinda like Rush, but waaaay heavier. Think like One Little Victory on steroids - the result is absolutely epic. I mean, who else would come up with a concept album spanning two albums? Epica / The Black Halo...well...it's just that. Epic. And I'm utterly hooked!
